VIP family of plans
What sort of plan is this?
VIP plans are modular, which means your clients begin with a foundation module for in-hospital surgical and medical treatment, and then add other types of cover based on their budget and needs.
What level of reimbursement does it offer?
A VIP plan will reimburse up to 100% of the eligible costs incurred (subject to reasonable charges) up to policy limits. If the VIP 4 module is added, this provides up to 75% reimbursement for dental and optical charges.
What does this plan cover?
- VIP 1, the foundation module that everybody begins with, provides cover for the least predictable, high cost conditions that require in-hospital surgical and medical treatment.
- VIP 2 provides the same cover as VIP 1 plus consultations with specified specialists and diagnostic tests and imaging.
- VIP 3 provides the same cover as VIP 2 plus day-to-day medical services like doctor visits and prescriptions.
- VIP 4 provides the same cover as VIP 3 plus dental and optical benefits.
How affordable is this plan?
Because a VIP plan can be tailored by adding modules, your clients can fit it to their budget. They can also opt to have an excess, which means they will pay part of the claim cost in return for a reduced premium.
They may also be able to lower their premiums through our low claims reward if they don’t claim over the low claims threshold.
Plus module for work schemes
The plus module is only available for work schemes and can be added to either VIP 1 or VIP 2. It provides 80% reimbursement of expenses for up to three eligible GP visits (up to stated policy maximums and subject to reasonable charges) and eligible prescriptions to the value of $100 per insured person per year (subject to reasonable charges).
